The Louis Bouillot trading house in Nuits-Saint-Georges was founded in 1877 and chose to focus its business on Burgundy sparkling wines very early on. It was Louis, the eldest son of the family, who took a particular interest in sparkling wines made by the traditional (or Champagne) method. His passion for these wines drove him to make considerable improvements to the process, not only in the selection of the base wines but also in handling bottle fermentation.
On the strength of over 130 years of experience and know-how, Louis Bouillot is recognised the world over as the specialist company in Crémants de Bourgogne.
Louis Bouillot was taken over in 1997 by Boisset La Famille des Grands Vins and continues to think up new Crémants each year for the pleasure of the taste buds.

True to the innovative spirit of Bubble Inventor Louis Bouillot, the company continues to make new discoveries with Perle Rouge, a tribute to the Burgundy of the 1930s and Les Grands Terroirs, the latest new products from the Nuits-Saint-Georges firm.
In partnership with the vine-growers, diversified supplies from Burgundy mean that the company can craft the most elaborate cuvées. Subtle blends or pure varietals, the Crémant “Perles” are all shaped in the Louis Bouillot style with the emphasis resolutely on their delicious fruit. Thanks to these winegrowing efforts, Louis Bouillot proposes a range of Crémants de Bourgogne with plenty of character.
